The
Good Life Group
The Good Life Group
(GLG) is part of Keller Williams Lanier
Partners in Gainesville, Georgia. This group is dedicated
exclusively to property on beautiful Lake Lanier in the
foothills of the north Georgia mountains. Because they
specialize, they are able to stay apprised of any issues
relating to lake property, the US Army Corps of
Engineers, watershed issues, dock rules and permits, and
other topics that are key to a successful lake sale or
purchase. Not
only do they follow what properties are on the market
right now, but they have a long list of "pocket"
listings from people who are thinking about selling
their lakefront houses in the future. These homes don't
show up on any listing service, but the GLG does a lot
of transactions from these pocket listings. They also
have a fantastic list of resources and tradesmen they
work with including dock companies, trustworthy
contractors, tree cutters that know the Corps' rules,
mortgage companies who specialize in lake and 2nd home
investments, attorneys who know the rules of the lake,
and more.
Because of her extensive background in internet and
marketing, Bev Knight handles the
listing responsibilities. This includes getting them
entered on dozens of web sites as well as all the
listing services, creating flyers, sending postcards,
doing email blitzes, creating ads, and much more. The
GLG is known to be one of (if not THE) most
aggressive advertisers of property on Lake Lanier, and
they are one of the top listers. They are innovative in
a variety of ways including custom street signs that
show a picture of the dock so passers-by can see the
most important feature of the lake house, smart-phone
flyers, a booth at the Atlanta Boat Show, custom home
books, video tours (that's motion video like a
movie -- not a series of still shots), radio advertising
and even TV spots. They also advertise in various Lake
Lanier publications including
Lakeside News where Bev writes a quarterly
column on Lake Lanier real estate.
Another innovation of the GLG is to provide dedicated
specialists for buyers and investors. It takes a unique
skill-set and a lot of time to find just the right
property for a client, and the GLG is organized to allow
its agents to focus exclusively on their clients
(rather than ads, forms, listings, etc.). They have
found that buyers love that special attention and
appreciate their agent's ability to stay focused on
their needs. (It is very hard and time-consuming to
handle both listings and buyers -- almost impossible to
keep up with both.) The GLG is extremely blessed to have
a very talented buyers' agent, Donna
Sulllivan. For investors looking for guidance in
navigating the risky and challenging world of lake and
luxury property, Dani Brown serves
as the investment specialist for The GLG. Click on their
names to read more about their backgrounds and talents.
Bev
Knight
Bev is the founder and lead agent for The Good Life
Group. With a
background in business consulting with emphasis on
marketing and internet, she wanted to create a group
that deals exclusively in Lake Lanier property but with
a businesslike, market-oriented approach. With the motto
"...when you're ready for the good life!" the logical
name for the group was The Good Life Group. It is
her goal for each person in the group to be professional
in every way, accessible (yes, they do answer their
phones!), completely up-to-date on any issues regarding
Lake Lanier, and an exceptional resource to buyers and
sellers of lake property.
A rare native Atlantan,
Bev's family always had some type of property on Lake
Lanier, from floating cabins (no longer allowed) to
house boats.
Her dad was a surveyor / landscape architect /
developer, so her childhood was filled with the housing
industry. Her first real job was selling real
estate for Barton & Ludwig (now Coldwell Bankers); but
at the time, the interest rates were so high that very
few houses were being sold; so, she went back to the
University of Georgia and earned her business degree in
Information Systems. She spent many years in the
software industry performing a variety of tasks; and, in
time, went into consulting. She helped software
and communications companies set up training, documentation, product
marketing, usability studies, testing, product design
and much more. Eventually, she opened her own
firm, BGK Design Services, where she assisted small
businesses with web design and marketing.
Throughout that time, she always kept her love for the
housing industry and followed the market closely.
Once her children went off to college,
she and her husband moved up to their dream home on Lake
Lanier (in the hopes of giving the kids a reason to come
home more often...which worked!) She fell in love
with the area and started investing in lake property.
Her love for real estate eventually caused her to, once
again, get her license and go back into the industry
where she started her career. Now, she is a
specialist in lake property, loves it, and she uses her marketing
and web background as a tool to get the word out about
her properties. She does not consider herself a
salesperson at all. Instead, she is a
problem-solver, and her clients appreciate the
distinction between those two approaches.

Bev
is married to Tim Knight who is the principal broker for
Knight Commercial Real Estate,
a commercial real estate company that specializes in
land and retail developments. The Knights have two wonderful sons, Matt and
Chris. Matt graduated from Davidson College in
Charlotte, NC where he played baseball (pitcher) and
majored in Economics and Spanish. He recently married a
wonderful volleyball star, Emily Adams from Phoenix, AZ
who is the much-loved newest member of the fam ily. Chris
graduated from Georgia State where he has a double major
in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He now works for
Northwestern Mutual as an Associate Wealth Management
Advisor. The whole family loves
spending time on the lake. You might find them wakeboarding, knee-boarding,
tubing, boating, or just floating in a cool cove
on a hot day listening to the Braves. They love to
have parties, and their house is often full of friends
and family.
In her spare time, Bev Knight likes to
dance, especially line dancing and salsa. She is also active
in her church where she sometimes teaches Sunday School. An avid reader,
she helped to start a book club in her neighborhood.
She loves people, enjoys real estate, and works very
hard to make sure that her clients' needs are served.

Donna
Sullivan
In July of 2010, Donna
Sullivan joined The Good Life Group as a buyer's agent specializing
in property on Lake Lanier. In that role, she assists buyers who are looking on Lanier, and makes sure
they know all the ins and outs of purchasing a lake
home. Before coming to The Good Life Group as a
buyer's agent, Donna was spent many years as the staging specialist for
the GLG. Not only is she an expert on lake property,
but she is a great resource for sellers who want to get
their homes ready for a sale.
Donna Sullivan has
worn many hats ranging from set designer/actor at
Atlanta’s Alliance Theater, party planner, caterer,
registered nurse to more recently a Lake Lanier
professional home stager. Real estate has always been a
passion to Donna, having grown up with a father who was
a developer, landscape architect and surveyor.
No matter which hat she wore, Donna has always been a
people-person. Her philosophy is to be compassionate to
others, be a good listener and ultimately to do the best
job possible. Donna's goal is to
listen to the client’s requests, find just the right
property, be a good communicator, and negotiate a
purchase that meets her client’s needs.
While Donna Sullivan
grew up in Tucker, Georgia, her family always had a
connection with Lake Lanier. Whether it be a houseboat
at Holiday Marina or a cabin near Mary Alice Park, the
lake has always been a second home. Some of her favorite
passtimes include taking sunset cruises on Lake Lanier
and exploring lake communities by water on the jet ski
with her sister. Who is her sister
might you ask? Bev Knight of course. Who could ask for a
better team to meet your real estate needs?
Donna is all
about family. She has been married to Dan Sullivan for
33 years . They have three grown daughters (Dana,
Danielle and Daye), two sons-in-law (Randy Jack and Chad Coxville),
and three precious grandsons (Seth, Luke and
Owen). Donna’s favorite hobby is entertaining friends.
Lake Lanier is the perfect setting to entice friends to
visit. She also loves making custom cakes, especially
grandsons’ birthday cakes. Donna was the resident social
director for her community and helped start a very successful book club
there. As a charter resident of Cresswind on Lanier
(formerly Seasons on Lanier), she definitely has an
insider's knowledge of that neighborhood and the
surrounding lake communities.
Donna chose to because
a buyer's agent because of her love for people. She has
a gift for making clients feel comfortable and
confident. Since purchasing a home is always stressful,
this is a huge asset to anyone who works with her. She
knows the lake and the communities, and her clients love
her. If you
would like to get started on your lake house search,

Dani
Brown
Dani Brown, joined The Good Life Group in December of 2010. (She pronounces her name like "Dana.") She
moved to
Lake Lanier since 2006 with her husband Paul who is a
developer/investor/builder and their two adorable little
boys. She was raised in Blue Ridge, Georgia and attended
North Georgia College and State University. When you
meet Dani, you will be drawn to her positive energy,
ability to listen, and market knowledge. As a "people"
person and business-savvy professional, her clients will tell you that she is
well-suited to be an investment property specialist.
Dani decided to get into real estate after spending a
summer working at an attorney's office. She felt like it
was the ideal job for her personality and skill set. She
loves interacting with people, seeing new scenery
(especially great homes), and negotiating the best deal
for her clients. Because she is a very good listener,
she has enjoyed great success finding the right home for
her clients and has been a multi-million dollar
producer. Before she joined The Good Life Group,
she had eight years of experience selling real
estate and three years as a licensed broker. In fact,
that's how she met her husband. He was one of her best
clients. She must have done a great job, because he fell
in love with her! She owned her own firm, Investors
Realty of Georgia, and it shows in the level of
professionalism and dedication she brings to the job.
With the two little boys at home, she can't work quite
that many hours now; so, she has taken on a new role as
an investment property specialist with The Good Life Group and is
doing a great job.
Not surprisingly, Dani's favorite pass-time is playing
with her little boys. She loves being a mom and is an
active member of MOPS Club of Gainesville (mother's of
pre-schoolers). She and Paul like to hike, travel, and
entertain. On warm days, you will find them enjoying
their houseboat, skiing, tubing, floating around and
grilling out with family and friends. They are active
members of an awesome church and spend a lot of time
talking about real estate.
Dani is well-versed in all categories of Lake Lanier
property, but she is particularly skilled when it comes
to investments, trades, and luxury homes. She is easy to
talk to, positive, and a tough negotiator.
If this sounds like what you're
looking for in a lake agent, please contact Dani at 706
455-3076 or email her at
danipbrown@gmail.com.
